Display WordPress Plugin Information on your site

You can display the wordpress plugin information on your site. All you have to do is just copy the following code into your file. In $args you have to pass the slug of the plugin you want to display the information. For example i have used following plugin in code snippet http://wordpress.org/plugins/hs-simple-faq/

You can use print_r( $plugin_info, true ) for all the information about plugin. I have used print_r( $plugin_info->downloaded, true ) which tells how many times the plugins has been downloaded.

$args = (object) array( ‘slug’ => ‘hs-simple-faq’ );

$request = array( ‘action’ => ‘plugin_information’, ‘timeout’ => 15, ‘request’ => serialize( $args) );

$url = ‘api.wordpress.org/plugins/info/1.0/’;

$response = wp_remote_post( $url, array( ‘body’ => $request ) );

$plugin_info = unserialize( $response[‘body’] );

echo ‘<pre>’ . print_r( $plugin_info->downloaded, true ) . ‘</pre>’;
